Milan Fashion Week | Corneliani Fall/Winter 2012 Show

The Corneliani show kicked off Milan Fashion Week, giving us a look at a runway filled with grays and blues offered up in some amazing fabrics and textures. The range featured oversize lapels on the suiting, heavy outerwear and fur trimmings. The pleated trousers and well-fitting cardigans topped off the collection.

Milan Fashion Week | Moncler Gamme Bleu Spring/Summer 2012

Moncler’s Gamme Bleu line was showcased at this week’s Milan Fashion Week with plenty of signature offerings on display. Beyond the usual thigh high shorts and tailored suiting, the runway show featured fencing jackets and enhanced jock cups as well to really take things to heights. Thom Browne is doing an exceptional job with this label and he infused more of his American flavor in this lineup than we’ve seen in seasons past and it’s apparent with the addition of a few padded jackets and quilted blazers.

Milan Fashion Week: Woolrich Woolen Mills Spring 2011

We’re hearing this is designer Daiki Suzuki’s final collection for Woolrich Woolen Mills, which leaves us wondering where we’ll leave a footprint next. With the collection being made right here in the good ol’ US of A, there’s always much hype the brand has had to live up to in recent years. Suzuki has yet to drop the ball and after viewing the Spring 2011 collection, we’ll have to say he’s leaving the brand on a high note. The vintage-inspired gear is coupled with great attention to detail, which can be seen with the addition of several accents such as leather patches and hand-finished stitching.

Milan Fashion Week: Ermenegildo Zegna Spring 2011

There’s not much more we can say about Ermenegildo Zegna that we haven’t said before but the fact that they’ve been in the busy for 100 years now serves as a testament to long-term dedication to delivering quality products. The company has a deep understanding of what the modern man wants and this collections proves it once again. The Spring 2011 lineup may have been the best-styled and most-comprehensive line we’ve seen on the runway this week in Milan.
